I was really excited about this show, but I've been watching for a half hour and I haven't laughed once. The humor is immature and lacks substance, the characters are poorly acted, and the songs are underwhelming. I'll watch the rest of the episode, but I doubt I'll continue watching.
Anybody else want to chime their opinion? I'd like to hear what you think.
My 7 year old left the room after less then 10 minutes. My husband and I lost interest shortly after. I personally LOVE Mel Brooks and Monty Python. This doesn't hold a cold, wet match to either. I was truly hoping that this was going to be good, the commercials showed potential; unfortunately the only funny scenes were in the commercials. What a shame.

It's even worse than I guessed it would be when I posted the following on 12/26/14:
I think it's only supposed to have four episodes, bridging the winter/spring seasons. So if it's not very good, at least it won't last too long. The previews I saw on my TiVo looked like pretty broad, goofy, junior h.s.-level humor, including some really lame sight gags. But I'll give it a try for at least one episode.
A few funny moments but pretty lazy writing if you ask me. Like, the repeated metafiction jabs about how these stories are highly formulaic only goes so far... (how they mention the movie's own "plot" etc, in the actual dialogue.) And the addition of the occasional modern jargon here and there made me pretty much cringe throughout. Maybe it had good ideas but had a lot of poor execution. I'll watch the next episode but I probably lose interest after that. The only reason I was really interested was because I wanted to see Al Yankovic. I'll probably watch it til that point then give up.

shareIf you are going to rip-off an institution, you need to bring something new to the table that impresses. Was not impressed. Just embarrassed for them. Who the hell is pulling this rancid sludge out their keesters? I've seen stuff produced on YouTube with more game than this insipid tripe. The first 20 minutes of the pilot was so painful I had to post here. This program and others like it are the reason I am opting for archived online content. Shows that are brilliant, but were insidiously axed by programming execs that have their heads shoved so far up their own arses they should moonlight as endoscopes. Is this a sign of the apocalypse? Television programming that has me contemplating self annihilation? Who contributed to this 8.1 rating? The cast, crew and writers of this monstrosity?
