This movie actually represents something huge

We're almost there guys. The day being gay is so normalized that we can have generic box office fillers about gay people is the day we've won the fight. Now, this one doesn't quite count because it's specifically about controversy over being gay but still, we're close. Thanks Katherine.

Well if a movie about gay people/couples means the fight is over, I suppose the fight ended over two decades ago with the release of films like (off the top of my head) Everything Will Be Fine, Out of Season, Better Than Chocolate, Show Me Love, Being John Malkovich, Bent, Queer as Folk and Chutney Popcorn, all of which were released in the 90s. Sorry no one told you the fight was over sooner!
