Kinda true, in our reality, the pre-flood human civilization was completely destroyed, there is hardly any evidence remaining that it ever existed. That pesky Yonaguni Monument in the Pacific Ocean south of Japan is still there though, so water isn't always the end all.

That panel that stopped the water from flowing into the Proto-Molecule Spire though--very impressive.

Water is only as strong as its depth , for pressure , or the speed and volume its moving at.

I *did* think hiding from a flood underground was a bit of a dumb move.
