Mr. Rogers was before my time

But I well remember how kids loved him, including my daughter and her young cousins. He spoke in a soft, measured voice, so simply and eloquently that they understood him. They felt he was speaking to each of them individually, telling them that he cared about them. How could you not love that, as a child?
