So here I was enjoying the film and all of a sudden out of nowhere the guy says that to her, I laughed out loud "WHAT did he say?" hahahaha.
I tell ya, this movie gets a point just for that totally unexpected move.
The guy had impressed her, and now he was about to court her, why did he have to mess that up by saying something like that...

I don't know why this thread even exists.
That line totally showed the psychological issues the dude was struggling with.
It made the viewer clear this guy is totally nuts. It was a key moment, the moment where the mask of the cool handsome helpful polite stranger dropped and ever since that moment he showed his true colors and there was no way for the girl to back out anymore. In stark contrast to all that came before that moment where she indeed had plenty of opportunities to carry on without him.
A key moment indeed, and an unusual surprise for viewers. Usually, the psycho reveals his craziness in other ways. In Curve, viewers are blindsided by his comment. Well, at least I was.

She never said she was going to sleep with him or anything----she had been on the road for a long while and needed a break. Didn't mean she was actually going to do anything with him. Why aren't you calling the guy a "slut"for talking nasty to her, too? Tired of men calling women "sluts" for just wanting to have sex when some of them (men, I mean) are willing to bang anything right and left with the quickness. Give the "slut-shaming" a rest, please.
I figure the dude was going to show his real evil self sooner or later, it was just a matter of time before his mask slipped and he showed his true colors. And when he said that to her---I was like, "Okay, this is definitely going down the wrong road here," and it sure as hell did.
Don't forget taking his shirt off right after meeting a strange woman.
shareI had to rewind the movie when he said that. I didn't expect it, despite knowing that he's a psycho. I gave it an extra star because I love dirty stuff like that, especially out of left field. And he's hot so it works for me.
