My wife and I watched this last night, not a bad movie but we were so distracted by how pasty Travolta looked and his horrible wig. Travolta's acting also seemed wooden and I did not buy him as the tough guy. Meloni's scenes were the highlight. His fight scenes seemed well choreographed and Meloni pulled off the slightly crazy but a guy you don't mess with.

Meloni was simply great in this movie!
shareI also thought he did a great job. He brought a great energy to scenes where he was featured. Loved the fight in the barber shop!

It was good to see Meloni with some character for a change. My missus watched that Law and Order svu rubbish with him in with his one single expression. Nice to know he can actually act a bit.
shareMeloni was the best part of watching SVU. He was always in trouble for one thing or another. Don't misunderstand me. Many of the other characters brought some interesting history onto the table, but I was always wondering from week-to-week how Stabler would get into trouble with his captain or co-workers again.

Exactly. Week after week of SVU, featuring Elliot's barely suppressed rage issues. Oof, I got tired of it.
It was good to see him in this, though.
I don't think the plot was creative enough or the movie compelling enough by itself for the producers to have laid it on the shoulders of a lead at Meloni's level of stardom, but he was definitely a highlight. I could see him Jason Statham himself into big-screen leading man territory eventually.
