I admit I enjoy rom-coms but I will contradict myself to say that some originality would be nice. The Break-Up is the one rom-com that doesn't end in happily ever after. I did hate how that one turned out because it made the entire movie pointless with the two characters trying to win each other back. With the case of this and Trainwreck, the couples aren't even together so it wouldn't make a difference. By keeping them as they are it could be a statement of saying "hey, I'm staying who I am, screw you."

And in this moment, I swear we are infinite.

There's more to a movie than just its overall arc.
