Full of horror cliches and uninspired

More demanding fans of the genre, can not feel but disappointed.
Just about any horror cliche is in Welp:
a) set in the woods (Friday the 13th anyone or a dozen other slashers?)
b) with a leatherface mask villain (Texas Chainsaw Massacre anyone... surely an hommmage)
c) and the sexy blonde gets tied up to a meat hook (...)

Welp is so hyped because Belgium Taxshelter money is in it, so it can benefit from funds out of crowd sourcing as well as evaded tax money (read: a lot of promotion).

And of course you also get a bunch of professional journalists who pose as objective reviewers (and who get invited to fancy receptions, hence... if you don't write positive about this movie, you will not be invited in the future).

Welp can benefit from a decent budget for a slasher horror flick, so the production looks good, but this does not make it a good movie. It has all been done before and much better. I was hoping that the blonde would show her tits, but obviously this probably would have hampered with the 12 + certificate it has now. If she would have shown her tits, well then at least just about any horror cliche would have been in it.

I love how R-Clercx's criticism devolves into this disgruntled, perverted bellyache. Brilliant.

As far as your less devolved bellyaching goes, I'm going to have to go ahead and disagree with these claims.

a) So 'Friday the 13th' trademarked the woods? Really?

b) Leatherface mask? I think it's a wooden mask carved into the shape of a deer head.

c) Yeah, because hunters never put prey on meat-hooks.

These things you've sited are not ripoffs, they're similarities. I think your criticisms are garbage and completely based on the fact that you didn't get to see any boobies. :'(

This movie was great, and I'm looking forward to a sequel/sequels.
