Do you think Arturo was doomed no matter what he did? Or did his cockiness get him killed? It seems like he was probably going to die no matter what to isolate Nacho for Gus's use.

I had the feeling that at least one of them was going to die, but didn't expect exactly what happened, but then I remembered what happened to Victor, and that Gus has no problem being gruesome with someone that is expendable if it sends a message.

Gus keeps you around if you have some innate value other than being a thug. Gus is aware that Nacho poisoned Hector so he sees a man with the guts and the initiative to change his predicament, thus he'd rather keep him around instead of Art who is a dime a dozen.

Now, I didn't say Gus will keep Nacho alive by any means, but he definitely utilize him as a weapon against Hector's family.
