Question about Frank

I have a degree in history, and have done my share of research. In the end, there are always a ton of unanswered questions, many lost to time. I don't know British history all that well, but that was Frank's focus/specialty.

Space experts dream of traveling to the stars, just as historians dream of going back in time and living historic events. I find it a bit odd that Frank would never bring this up....the chance to go back in time and explore history, live through the chaotic time that was the American Revolution (though I understand it didn't have the same impact in England) and the following Napoleonic Wars.

Perhaps I missed it. But considering Claire wanted to go back, and he knew the relationship wouldn't work, why not go back together than part ways? Granted, it might be a one way trip for both.

It's not clear when, exactly, Frank decided that Claire might be telling the truth about spending time in the 18th century. He certainly didn't believe her at first! So that's part of the reason.

Most people cannot travel through the stones. Jamie can't. I don't believe Frank ever tried, but it is very likely that he wouldn't be able to.

Once Claire made the promise to Frank to stay married to him and to raise the child together, she never spoke of Jamie or the 18th century again. Frank did do some research on Jamie Fraser, but he never mentioned this to Claire so she had no idea.

Frank may have been interested in visiting the past, but he might probably didn't want to go to the time of Claire's 18th century love and the father of her child.
