Question about the episode "Wrestling With The Devil"?

On the episode "Wrestling With The Devil" being based off of Ann Rule's book "A Fever In The Heart" how do you think Dee Ann (Jerilee in the book) would feel about Gabby Moore getting shot so he could convince her that he had nothing to do with Morris's murder? Also do you think Angelo "Tuffy" Pleasant intended on killing Gabby Moore?
