What a classy little movie. They used to make movies like these in 70s

I loved this film from start to finish. I can see why people would find this boring. It was all dialogue and very little action. Those people who were expecting an action or gangster movie would be totally disappointed. I personally loved it, especially the performance of Oscar Isaac. If this movie was made in the 70's, Sidney Lumet would have directed it and would have starred Al Pacino and Faye Dunaway.

You are right on the money Khan.

Yes, that's exactly how I feel. It feels like a classic, and to me, it probably will be in a few years when I look back.

Agreed. It's nice to know that every now again we can still get a quality film to enjoy.

would have starred Al Pacino and Faye Dunaway.

That was a lucky escape, then.

I agree with your post generally. It has that Lumet/Mamet vibe.

Couldn't agree more.

If this was made in the 1970s it would had been called The Godfather and that was a better film.

It's that man again!!

Total agreed. Oscar Isaac and Jessica Chastain even looked a bit like al Pacino and Faye Dunaway.

Loved the film. the first 40-60 minutes were definitely a little slow, but it built up. loved the "near-sepia" filters too.
