New to the series...question for Fire/Pd watchers.

I already watched Chicago Med and I loved it and thought I would give Pd and Fire a try and watched both yesterday.

I'm a fan of both, but I liked pd a little more so I figured I'd watch this one first. However, I'm on episode 3 and realized one of the guys from fire is on here and I'd hate to spoil the storyline for fire by watching pd first since fire started a couple years before pd.

Should I watch fire first or is there not that much crossover to spoil anything? Thanks for the help!

Watching season 1 of Fire first will give you the backstory to PD. There's a pretty big storyline that sets up PD.

I would recommend watching Fire first since you plan to watch it anyway.

I'm new to Chicago Fire & P.D. too this year. I started watching Chicago Med a month or so after is started (whenever I knew it was going to have either full or second season) from the beginning.

I saw your response & ordered Chicago Fire Season 1 DVD to fill me in on back story of P.D. Thank you.

Season 1, IIRC Episodes 3-7, introduces Antonio and Voight. Definitely a must-see. I won't spoil the rest.

You can find the episodes online here: http://www.watchepisodes.co/chicago-fire

There are some crossover events that will require you to watch all three shows that are in the crossover.

If you have the time, it is best to catch up on all of them, unless you hate one.

But I am a bit biased. Fire is my favorite of the trio, though it took a little while to get going. The latest episode was my favorite episode of a show in a long time!

I actually started Fire right after this post and fell in love. I just started season 3 but After I finish I'm going to watch season 1 of Pd. I'm getting the season from my sister in law so I don't have to watch on my computer. I can def see why fire is your favorite! Thank you all for the input!

It will be weird watching Fire after PD, because (not to give too much away) one of the heroes of PD is introduced as a nasty, evil villain in Fire.

I'm new to Fire & P.D. This year too. My older brother has filled me in on the backstory. I ordered Fire Season 1 & it just arrived. 24 episodes is a lot to watch.
I'm glad I read here & ordered Chicago Fire. I'd never watch all previous seasons. No matter how good something is, I tire of watching television.
Thank you.

If you don't mind going back and watching... do it. I started with Fire and as new spin-offs came, I watched them all. I go back and forth on which I of the series I enjoy most, it usually is P.D.
I work in the medical field and almost always can't tolerate watching Med, but I still do in case of crossovers. Dr Halstead is just ...mmmm to be nice, not the best character on the show in my opinion.

Hope you enjoy all the shows.

Start with Fire, Med and then Justice.
