Another flop for Disney?

This isn't a troll question, but it's looking very strongly like it's going to flop or even bomb just like BFG did. Do you think it'll end up losing money? Or do you think it might just manage to make back its money, since it had a much smaller budget than BFG?

It's going to be fine, not a huge hit but good enough. When you own the Star Wars franchises and the Marvel Cinematic Universe it isn't such a big deal anyway. Rogue One will probably be near a billion this winter, and I'm sure Dr. Strange will do well too. Not to mention a slate next year of GoG 2, Spiderman, Thor 3, and Episode 8. Disney will be just fine.

You should sleep better, Disney is the only studio that makes successful comic movies and they own Star Wars. Those movies being successful means they will continue to make quality, fun movies.

Doesn't look like its setting the box office alight, but it's a low budget by modern standards and should break even once TV and disc/streaming sales are taken into account.

Don't expect a Pete's Dragon 2 anytime soon, though.

Disney's marketing strategy for awhile, is that given people's short attention spans, they seem to drop marketing on you a month or two before the film comes out.

I remember back in the day, they'd be marketing at least a year in advance of their films. These days, they got so many lined up like an assembly line.

"Thanks, guys." "So long, partner."
