I suppose that's to be expected from a film called Skating to New York.

I agree: the issue is that the stunt they pulled, skating across Lake Ontario, should have amounted to something. Did they learn something, did they grow, did they develop. I’m not sure they are any different. In the final scene, they watch the Lake, and they say, “‘Man, this is boring. Let’s go to pinballs.” You’d figure the Lake would have acquire some sentimental value for them, but apparently not.

The movie was fun in the parts where they skate across the frozen lake, but there should been some significance to the act
