This isn't a bad film.

This isn't a bad film, it's just a "cliched" one. I thought the acting was pretty decent and it moved right along. If it was filmed before the paranormal activity movies, I doubt it would have had all these negative comments. I had not seen any of the previews for it, so maybe that's why I'm not disappointed.

This is one of the worst found footage movies I've ever saw. Almost as bad as Area 407, and that's saying a lot.

It's better acted and directed than most films in the found footage genre (granted that's not saying much), but still not very good IMO. Like you said, it's derivative, uninspired, and cliched... basically just Rosemary's Baby crossed with Paranormal Activity. But more than that, the lack of suspense, predictable jump scares, and long periods where little happened, any potential this film may have had was wasted.

The novelty of handheld video horror movies expired years ago. Directors need to get back to making real movies.

This begs the question if this film had not been done in the terrible tired found footage style but instead in a traditional viewer perspective style would it have been better? Probably. But thats because found footage film style is just so terrible except in the most rare cases (where its just ok). Also, it needed someone on the good side with special knowledge to help the poor husband (or at least delay the inevitable) like the Omen does with that one sick priest who has been following the whole thing for years and tells Gregory Peck that he has to kill his son. Theres none of that here. Just this poor man who is bounced around obliviously from bad to worse with NO one in his corner, NO one with some special knowledge to let him know *beep* is serious and you have to understand as crazy as it sounds something biblically terrible is happening to your wife and unborn kid. Other than the palm reader who doesnt impact him at all really, theres no one in that role. And that leaves the story empty as if you are watching an accident happen in slow motion and theres nothing you can do about it.

No. The problem with this pos is not the found footage format.

Here is some food for thought, how about YOU avoid WATCHING them?

I don't think that is a horrible film. However, I don't think it's a good one either. It's a mediocre film if anything else. One that needed a lot of improvement.
