Should there be a fourth film

Even though this film seemed to conclude Larry's story but I think a potential fourth film left it open to continue with Tilley as the new main character,

I say this should be the last.

I agree... I think this should be the final one. I loved the movie but I think it all tied off in a nice way.

No, not her, never, end the franchise right now, before starting a new one with her.
I'd rather see Borondon (Brondon/Seth Rogen) as the new guard.

reply

No no, if Larry is a history teacher.... he could get into running the museum and get his PHD, Dr. McPhee now knows the secret and can work some talk....I mean the tablet didn't return for nothing, and Larry wasn't watching for nothing either. Besides, there are so many more things to liven up,... I also wanted to know more about the Egypt bits, that never really developed enough. Many possibilities, and ppl use Robin Williams as the closure, I don't think he would want that. People pick on this movie so hard, why so, it is fun and might spark ppls interest for the future, and not to mention get ppl out to the museums. History is the best teacher.

I would love to see it go in a different direction with her at the helm and a whole new slew of crazy characters at the British Museum.

reply

They could easily continue the franchise with Rebel Wilson and the British Museum; it would be a fun new change to work with. But it ended so nicely that I really think they should leave it as is.

yes, i thought (because of how it ends) that there would be another movie, but now i think they actually can't make a new one because of Robin Williams. I mean he was one of the best character in the movie series. It would be sad. {sorry for bad english, i don't know if i wrote it right}

I also believe this is the end of the trilogy. The films were fun and in some ways educational; however, it has no where to go... sadly.

reply

A lot of people felt they were pushing it even with a third film. I thought the third film was an improvement over the second one. I'd say it's probably best to leave the series as a trilogy.

reply

Last one. Having another would make it feel like a straight to video movie especially if Ben Stiller was not in it. I think they were pushing it to even have this one. it worked but as sad as it is this should be the last, however if they made another and people want to see it I am not one to spoil the fun.

Hopefully this is the last one, Tilly is not a charismatic character. She had her funny moments but I cannot see her carrying a film, even a fun one, the way that Ben Stiller did. I can't really take her seriously and if they did, I'd probably see it because Ahkmenrah would still be around but just... no.

Now, if they did a spin off show, or something that focuses on Ahkmenrah and his family, or something, that'd be cool because he was definitely an important character who did not get the proper development. I am totally "fangirling" over him but outside of that, he was always the most interesting character followed by Sacajawea, it just wasn't right that he was blown off the way he was.

reply

if they did a fourth one, they would either have to recast Teddy Roosevelt or leave the character out..either way that doesn't sound good.

Not that this is the only reason they shouldn't do another one...just adding that point. =)

Not that there should be a 4th film for any reason, but even if there were, it would presumably take place at the British Museum where the tablet now permanently resides. So TR wouldn't be a feature anyway.

reply

If they did it in the British Museum then he wouldn't be there but I totally get that.

But, I did hear that they were going to do a spin off movie with Jed and Octavius but decided not too because of his death.

reply

I'd rather see some sort of prequel telling the full story of Ahkmenrah, his family, and the tablet!

reply

Omg me too! Such an interesting character who did not get the time he should have! The fact that he was in the original script for the second more than he was in the movie is sad enough.

reply

I think a prequel film would be rather interesting.
