Its like "Die Hard" or "Lethal Weapon" for the art-house foreign cinema crowd.

With a little bit of the vigilante-esque "Death Wish" (1974)-like vengeance theme around it as well.

And it is a very good movie, yes, and I definitely recommend it, Stellan Skaarsgard delivers another very solid performance too.

But did anyone while watching it also feel that this was basically, albeit still impressive and successful, a Blockbuster and entertaining type of action/thriller albeit with a lot less explosions and pyrotechnics typically associated with such genre, but for the more intelligent, arty, drama-oriented and foreign including Scandinavian films cherishing audience?

And it almost has enough to appeal to either genre fans. But the action movie comparisons especially spring from how the lead character is basically a tough, ordinary man who also later turns into an indestructible one man army type of action hero, and who physically battles and kills bad guys whilst himself mostly being a "good guy".

Anyone else sort of feel this way, thanks.
