What was the Greven's religion?

His religion was different than the others. And I could not understand what it was.

Brilliant! Thanks.

That was one of the brilliant bits of black comedy in the film. I gotta say as Atheist, I did wonder after the first few deaths what they do for someone like-minded and, it was a genuine "LOL" moment :D
