CONFIRMED: $5 Regal Monday Mystery Movie AND $5 AMC Screen Unseen for Apr 15, 2024

The two Reddit threads dedicated to guessing the mystery movies each have posts that theater employees confirmed that this Japanese anime is the mystery movie. An AMC employee said that they were told to play the Japanese version with English subtitles, even though they also have a dubbed in English version.

The theaters add state and/or local tax to the $5.

This title was CONFIRMED by people in the east coast theaters, who posted in both the Regal and AMC Reddit threads.

Reviews of this film say that it is a stand alone. If you have not seen any other in this series, it should bot affect your enjoyment. Critic reviews were positive, but I did not go.

Regal showed the version dubbed in English. Many posted that they cringed at the sound of the main girl's voice. AMC showed the Japanese version with English subtitles.

Reddit posters at both theaters reported between 50% and 66% walking out:
"As a Regal employee, i can tell you that over half of our MMM Patrons asked for a refund for the Anime movie on 4/15. It was crazy!"

Those who like Japanese anime were happy to get the $5 discount, as it opens at full price later this week.
