they are no better off in america than in Africa. But they ARE better off in any country that was willing to accept them compared to a refugee camp. Refugee camps used to be called concentration camps before 1945. A holding pen for unwanted people. Kenya would have been fine, even better than USA, as it was culturally similar to their homeland. The point of the film wasn't that USA is a better place to be than Africa (the continent) but that home was where the family is. Ask anyone that is or was a refugee, or a prisoner for 13 years. I'd immigrate to Antartica if it was that or a refugee camp.
