Anyone notice this touching detail?

*spoiler*

One of the many reasons I enjoy watching films that I love again and again, is to discover the hidden treasures the director sprinkles throughout, many of which are only caught on repeated viewings.
I’ve seen Hell or Hell Water at least 10 times and I just noticed that when Toby is driving home after he successfully escapes the robbery shootout and numerous police checkpoints, and after his brother has been unknowingly shot dead, he’s driving home with one headlight, and the headlight that is burned out is on the passenger side, where Tanner would be seated. It’s such a touching and melancholic scene, Toby driving home alone, through a desolate and poverty stricken Texas town with one headlight and that deeply sorrowful score playing in the back ground.

Maybe intentionally symbolic by the director....nice observation. I liked when Toby straightened those punks out at the gas station. Driver was just cruising for trouble---and got it. Toby really kicked some *ss.
