Question about the Female Titan (spoiler)

Is the power exclusive to females? what will happen if a male inherits it?
Is it similar to the constraint of the power of Founding Titan (only used by the members of the royal blood family, however, if the Founding Titan is inherited by someone outside of the royal family, the power can still be used if the inheritor is in physical contact with royal blood descent)
While the rest of the Nine Titans do not have this kind of restriction, it is strange to have a Titan that is based on sex identity...
