One of my problems with the sequel trilogy is how all the main characters (the ones that speak english) are humans. That's not Star Wars to me. Where are the twileks, the zabrak, the cathar, the miraluka?
And now they're adding several new characters, all of them human as well. It's like they think they're doing Battlestar Galactica or something.
Weren't like almost half of the central cast cylons in Battlestar by the end? But, I get what you are saying, they are humanoid. It can't be budget related since, you know, Disney.

Disney use humans of various races and genders in lead roles instead of ever using aliens in their Sci-Fi Fantasy to show how woke they are, which is why we don’t get aliens with big leading roles anymore. I'd love to of seen a Rodian (Greedo’s species), Twi’lek or Togruta in a lead role in the last few movies.
