What is WRONG with Ariana's voice??

What is wrong w/Ariana's voice?! Just watched an episode of "Sam & Cat" for the first time and I can't take her awful, stupid-sounding voice! I can hardly understand what she's saying. I'm so surprised, bc I actually really like her two latest singles and pictured her completely differently. What a disappointment. This show is total garbage. I feel bad for Jeannette! Does Ariana's voice always sound like this or is she acting retarded just for the character? I REALLY cannot tell. Her acting is terrible, too.

If you can't tell, then YOU might well be retarded.

The show is (WAS) awesome, and Ariana OBVIOUSLY did the cute voice on purpose.

The funny thing is Cat didn't originally talk that way. It started somewhere between seasons 1 and 2 of Victorious. And it just got worse in Sam & Cat.

Her voice is one of the main reasons I found her attractive lol

Why they allowed her to make her voice so annoying beats me. it sounded perfect in the first season of Victorious. They made her weird in season 1, then gradually it was all about her being stupid instead of weird and they dropped some of the best lines she used, too, such as "what is that supposed to mean?" when she would be really self conscious.

I caught my daughter watching this show today...yeah, the voice is incredibly annoying. Not sure if it's meant to make her seem a little dim, but I found it torturous to listen to for any length of time.
She's a talented singer but I don't believe I've ever heard Ariana actually speak normally, so I don't know how much of a stretch it is from her actual voice. Hopefully it's not close to reality. That would be painful.

I completely agree. My son watches this show and because the television is in my home office I am forced to listen to Cat's voice. I don't want to put Ariana down. She is young enough to be my daughter and I wish her well in her career. But I hope she never agrees to use this voice ever again.
