Snoopy didnt loved Charlie Brown in real life

New generations will never know that, in this movie Snoopy is a cute nice dog, good loving friend to Charlie Brown, children will think is another kid and his dog pal.
Its a cute movie, But in the comics Snoopy was mean and didnt even knew his name "that round-headed kid"

You know they aren't real right? It's not like it's supposed to be based on a true story or something. Character evolved and it was a welcome change. He still showed some of the old Snoopy but was able to step outside that.

From what I remember, Snoopy didn't like Charlie Brown treating him/referring to him as a dog.

It seemed Snoopy was a lot better to Charlie Brown when he just talked to him like anyone else. I actually thought that was supposed to be the running joke. The more Charlie Brown tried to treat Snoopy like a regular dog, the more Snoopy ignored him.

I think you forgot Thanksgiving and Snoopy's wedding

I wouldn't say that Snoopy didn't love Charlie Brown, but I agree he is more openly affectionate and rooting for him here in this movie than I ever recall seeing in the comics. For that matter, Charlie Brown comes out more of a winner here than he does in the strip - maybe in a few specials or movies he does.

In real life? They're cartoon characters, remember?

The connection between Snoopy and CB varied over the years in canonical literature, so multiple valid interpretations are possible. People and dogs can change attitudes in real life too, so there is really no problem.

reply

you are correct

but in the context of the movie it works better this way. it flows better, it would have been kind of wrong to have him be rude, specially when he was freaking out so much about the girl

reply

I didn't know comic strips were real life. Wow, you do learn something new everyday!

Snoopy didn't know anyone's name

I grew up reading Peanuts. I own every strip. Snoopy wore many different hats, as he played many versions of himself. "That round headed kid" is sarcasm. He loves Charlie Brown. He is also a dog with quite an attitude.
