Political correct remake to satisfy the left-wing liberals.

You have the token Black guy, the token Mexican guy, the token empowered female character, the token American Indian.... oooops... First Nation guy, and even the token Asian guy, who back in the West was most likely of Chinese descent.

Women were not supposed to be strong back in the West. Asians were supposed to be subservient to the White man - they were only there to dig gold, build railroad tracks and do laundry. There were even laws passed in San Francisco and in California classifying Asians, mostly Chinese, as third class citizens.

.... And of course the token black guy had to be played by the go to token black actor Denzel Washington... who wants his ass in every role that requires a black actor because after all, he won an Oscar, he is special and he is the only black actor according to his arrogant big head that's working in Hollywood!!

Hate to break it to you but there were tough women back then. Women could shoot ride horses do whatever. Sorry you been brainwashed by sexists who think they know a damn thing about a time they never even seen or experienced

Right? It was called the "Wild" West for a reason. You didn't have a ton of women out there to begin with, and according to history, the ones who were there weren't shrinking violets. You had to be capable of handling a lot of shyte if you were going to live in the west at the time, no matter your gender.

That's not even getting into how instrumental Mexicans, African/Americans, the Chinese, and Native Americans were to the structure and culture of the west at the time. All of those races were key. The way I see it is Hollywood finally sorta-kinda catching up to the fact that not only white menfolk were instrumental to the development of America, specifically as we expanded west.

Thanks for the warning OP. I was half interested in this only because the japanese movie and the original US version were great movies.

However i'm not interested in a left wing PC infested version of the movie. We already see their filthy and corrupted hands in everyday life, i don't wan' to see it in my entertainment as well.

Tokenism for the sake of tokenism is the worst. Don't worry about getting the best actors for the role. just get a asian, black or gay because the wild west was SO diverse back then.

Give me a break.

I hope this movie loses millions of dollars and shows Hollywood execs that green light this *beep* that people are sick of having the PC agenda forced down out throats.

I've studied history extensively, Wildj7. Nothing I've read suggests that only white men lived on the frontier, or in the West.

Shame on Hollywood for presenting the ideas that there might be a variety of demographics in a melting pot.
