Anyone...???

Gene rarely gets on camera apparently he's a recluse and he really didn't get along with Richard because he was a very dark and unreliable person

around 14:13 minute mark they ask him to discuss it and he basically just doesn't really want to talk about richard but to say that he was frustrating and depressing to deal with. I haven't watched this, I was growing up when Richard very publicly and tragically fell apart. There's not much to learn about him. Funny guy, killed himself with drugs, drinking and smoking. /end

He didn't kill himself with drugs sex and even the setting himself on fire.he survived all of that and then got MS which lead to his death, he got clean at some point, and when he married his wife a second time he stopped screwing around because he could barley get it up and he love and relied on her ht the most. So the MS killed him, not drugs , and the rock star lifestyle he lived. Quite sad. If you wanna say someone killed themselves from drugs that would be Rick James or Jimi Hendrix.

Regardless of whether they were close or remained friends after their films, I think Gene Wilder is a serious omission from this film because he was present at a crucial point in Richard's career.
