how can this film have a 6.2 rating?

cop cliches, relationship cliches, dialogue that makes you cringe, the most rigid and lifeless acting I've seen in a while - story has nothing that stands on its own. Who gives this film anything above a 4?

reply

Haters gonna hate. I think it more than deserves that mark as thousands of people voted it.

I liked the movie but it was missing a twist at the end

reply

It deserves the mark of Satan.

reply

Yep, 4 is a little generous. Taking into account the decent production values, an otherwise capable cast... nup. 3 from me.

OCJOC

reply

I gave it a 3, which was probably too generous.

reply

Formulaic derivative cheese. Some production value. I think 5 is the go.

There are worse films floating in the 4's.

Generic possession tripe like this one are what's "in" nowadays, sadly enough.

🐺 Boycott movies that involve real animal violence (& their directors) 🐾

reply

I would have to say the possession sub genre is all but cliché a this point as we have seen it from the vantage point of the priest walks in with the cross and places it on the forehead of the possessed etc.

I liked it, but it follows a tired system.

reply

don't forget Eric Bana's attempt to speak with a Godfather-ish Boston accent

how can this film have a 6.2 rating?

because soooo many people have terrible taste in movies, that's why. i'm being forced to watch this crap right now by my otherwise intelligent husband. if we ever divorce i'm going to use this to support "irreconcilable differences", lol.

if you can't be a good example, you'll just have to be a horrible warning

reply

and your taste is so brilliant, right? imagine being married to you, poor guy

Jesus, Tom, they took his hair. . .Who'd do that?

reply

Eric Bana is handsome

reply

I gave it a 6.
