Now, I'm curious. Is it bad in a fun way or just bad in a boring way?

It's not really boring. Kinda interesting. The story wasn't really that bad, it just lacked funny humor, IMO. I watched it in English dub, so maybe it's funnier with the original language with sub-titles.
