Actually where the show is now, is where I felt it should have been two years ago. I am by far no expert on Shield's history, but from what little I do remember. They've always dealt with paranormal and superhuman threats and activity. And considering they've already dealt with Kree and Asgardian technology, Asgardians, Inhumans, Hive, portals, and various other superhumans and phenomenon, the Ghostrider and ghosts hardly seem out of place to me. And this doesn't even include the things Fury and Coulson have seen in the films. I love the Ghostrider and ghosts angle, but hope there is more than just that. I hear there will be. What were you expecting?

Kray15, you are not alone. I absolutely have loved this show since its inception, and this board has been a very nice bunch of folks. I am surprised to see so many of the regular posters coming down on you. I agree with lots of your views, and this board is not just a place to lavish praise, it is about likes AND dislikes.

Here is my take on the seasons...

1. Loved almost all of it. Just a couple of dog episodes..i.e., the floating firemen, <although there was some really funny stuff in that episode, i.e. the jokes about <"I'm Agent Ward, and ..."> and the ghost Tobias <completely pointless episode>. Otherwise it was wonderful.

2. Ditto. really good stuff. They dragged out the alien writing storyilne a bit too far, and then there was the Lincoln factor, but otherwise it was excellent.

3. Started really strong. Ward turning into Matrix Neo/Hive got sickening pretty damn quick, and the whole Lash story was a bit contrived, but I still loved the season.

4. I am lost, but not giving up hope.

The bad thing about ApS is that the writing is very patchy - sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. The good thing about AoS is that they keep things moving quickly, so if you don't like something, chances are you won't have to endure it for very long. I actually liked the Hive stuff and didn't like the sloppy, melodramatic Maveth cr@p in S3, so at least we both got to push past the stuff we didn't like quickly.

The negative reactions to this thread aren't really about the OP not liking the show or its new direction, though. That's all fine and dandy, even though most regulars here seem to like the new season so far and thus won't agree.

It's the "The show's been going downhill for years now; I've had it, I'm leaving!" attitude the OP is displaying. What's the point of it, anyway? The OP is not a regular here on this board (at least not as far as I know), so why should people here care if he/she stops watching AoS? Does he/she want an outcry of "Please don't go! Give it another chance!" or what? It's not like the original post invites an open discussion, it reads more like an angry rant before the OP storms out in a huff.

So basically you started watching a sci-fi show and then got upset when it introduced sci-fi elements.

I assume your Lord of the Rings experience was similar.

Act I Part 1 - ok, a village is having a celebration, cool
Act I Part 2 - wait, there is a ring that can't be moved? and it's magical?!
Act I Part 3 - elves?! what the f__k am i watching?

Sometimes reading the genre description could help.

Divert your eyes for Firefly if you don't want a massive unexpected spoiler....but so as to spare you the trouble and disappointment: It takes place in space. And there is magic and sci fi.

So you're basicaly saying that you're done the show because you don't know anything about marvel

Reverse order for me

Season 4 - huh, Ghost Rider looks great
Season 3 - meh
Season 2 - Absorbing Man was cool but then the quality slumped again. I battled through this crap and that's what Mr Hyde looks like?
Season 1 - this is surprisingly bad. Wait, Bill Paxton is making things better. Bummer, he died.

Due to the lack of moderators, trolls can ruin the IMDB message boards. Don't feed them.

It would be enjoyable if they'd kill Daisy.
