Inquiry about Season 3 (Amelia)

I was just turned on to this show, so I'm a bit late. Unless I missed it, the show never addresses what happened to Amelia. I assume she died? Ran away? Did I miss that?

The story was pretty good, but the continuous jumping through time got to be tiresome. By the 6th episode or so, I was just wanting it to end.
