For those Who think PK is similar to OMG

I think you have a "WRONG NUMBER"

1) PK was in preproduction before Oh My God was released. There were news at that time that Raju Hirani and Abhijat Joshi had to rewrite some of the story points. So if anyone think that PK was copied or inspired by OMG, they get their answer.

2) And what is wrong with doing another film on such an important topic. Do you watch Salman Khan movies? It is the same story over and over. All so called Masala movies. Even the actress (Sonakshi) and villains same for some cases. SRK do same act over and over. There are lot of Bollywood movies in the same formula and people go and watch them. Suddenly PK is attacked for the similarity of subject with OMG.

Actually PK is in a different level and the humour attached to the movie is mind blowing. Director and Writer Raju Hirani has been successful in conveying such a powerful and somewhat controversial topic in a light way, that people not only enjoy the movie but would take home a good message.

I don't think that PK is an intended copy of OMG, but yes the subject matter is very similar, so drawing parallels would be an expected thing. OMG is a much better film than PK (that said, OMG itself is nothing great): however, since critics cold-shouldered OMG (as they do many other good Indian films), most of the IMDb crowd doesn't swear by it.

The biggest fault of PK is Saurabh Shukla: he doesn't fit into the role of a godman at all. He is not even caricaturish: he is too much out of depth. Take assorted-in side stories, all unneeded, of Anushka's love affair and of Sanjay Dutt, and PK is ruined: in spite of good work by Aamir. The ending 30-35 minutes of PK are unbelievably dumb: only people fed on Chennai Express and Jawaani Deewani can find such fare intelligent.
