Bates, from Downton Abbey

Every time I saw Brendan Coyle (the Earl of Lennox in this movie) I couldn't help but think of his John Bates character in Downton Abbey. It kind of took me out of the movie, each time he appeared, especially where he is stabbing Darnley.
