Did anyone else think this was a joke???
I seriously thought it was a joke. This is terrible looking. I don't exactly love the original, but this is awful.

shareWhen I saw the first few seconds of the trailer, I thought this was a parody. Oh God, I was so wrong.
shareYeah I thought it was a joke too.
shareThat's exactly what I thought when I saw trailer. I wrote something to that effect in the comments section. I can't believe they are actually serious about releasing this as a real, genuine , actual movie sequel. I still think there's a 50 percent chance that it was some type of prank that just got out of hand.
shareWhen the trailer started, I thought it was a porn parody... and then I saw a kid and Daniel Stern.

I was looking at DVD release dates, & came across this. I thought it was a joke.
shareThe fact that Jean Sheppard died in a fatal Car crash with his only son a few years back is the only reason that this would be produced in such a shabby fashion though I have not seen it i was going across dvd release dates and found it I was just thinking the other day about the original and how much i used to love it until ted turner's stupid tv channel ran it into the ground I was planning on getting a copy of it to watch with my 9 year old daughter this year because she is a perfect age for the humor of Jean Sheppard now this I will see it when it comes out on DVD to see if it is any good but I don't see how Daniel stern could come close to darren mcgavin as the dad
shareNo, that was director Bob Clark who was killed with his son in that car crash. Jean Shepherd died a natural death in 1999, aged 78. But I still agree with you about the sequel we never asked for.
shareI just heard about this listening to Brad Jones and I desperately hoped he was joking.
