When is It's a Wonderful Life 2 coming out?
I mean, why not? Replace the late, great James Stewart with Greg Kinnear and Donna Reed with freakin' Anne Hathaway.
Why not a sequel to Gone With the Wind? Casablanca?
Titanic 2, that's what we need!

There was a remake of sorts, not quite a sequel to It's A Wonderful Life, called It Happened On Christmas back in 1978 with Marlo Thomas. A sequel to Gone with the Wind does exist already - Scarlett, made for TV.
Sorry, Titanic II is already out there.
Films are not reality. Reality is not film. Film is only an approximation of reality.
Good lord!
What happened to originality? Why are people afraid to come up with their own stuff anymore?
The answer is money and fear of losing it. Hollywood studios used to take big risks - now they take fewer and fewer or simply distribute smaller films rather than making them themselves. So they deal with the concept of: if they loved it before, they will love it again.
Films are not reality. Reality is not film. Film is only an approximation of reality.
So it sounds like no matter how stupid the script is, or even if there is no script at all, they'll still make it into a movie.
shareTechnically, "Titanic II" is not intended to be a sequel to Cameron's "Titanic." It's just a cheap Asylum disaster movie set in the modern era. The ship in the film is called the "Titanic II" thus justifying the misleading title.
Of course, since this is the Asylum we're talking about, they were probably banking on people being dumb enough to rent or buy their movie thinking it WOULD be a legitimate sequel. Haha.

There was a sequel to It's A Wonderful Life. It was called Clarence, and it came out in the early 1990's. I'm not surprised most people haven't heard of it. It was released on VHS, and then forgotten totally.
