Woody in a non-Woody film

History has proven that Woody's roles in films he didn't write are weak, flat and boring. This film has a great cast, but already has mostly negative reviews. Why does Woody do it? It never works, and I am always disappointed. I may check it out, and if so will post my review/thoughts. It just looks and sounds boring over a beautiful NYC backdrop.

As others have pointed out, "The Front" is a decent Woody film with another director, as is "Scenes From a Mall."

This, however, is not not a decent Woody film. It is meandering with subplots more interesting than the main one, and it runs out of steam long before the credits roll. It's only 90 minutes, yet it still feels long. 6/10 stars from me.
