Is it another safe, tensionless but enjoyable MCU movie?

Well-paced, with funny quips but ultimately just fluff and something you'll forget 2 hours after seeing it? Is there another goddamned Uncle Ben flashback?

Yes to everything, except Uncle Ben. It feels like the CW's Spider-Man or perhaps Netflix. Stakes are low. Our hero is a sensitive, handsome white young man who wants to do right, but can't quite get a grip on things, so he's constantly letting people down. He's in love with an underwritten African-American female character, who has no personality because that risks making her unlikeable (in fact, none of the female characters are given much of anything to do, which is particularly painful to watch with Aunt May. Unlike the Raimi movies, she does not have a particular role to play in shaping Peter's value system. She's just a well-meaning, generic adult figure). His best friend is a funny, nerdy POC guy who provides tech support. Is The Flash? Well, no, because there are not enough heart-warming moments where you're supposed to reach for the Kleenex. The climatic battle between Vulture and Peter would probably not have exceeded a CW season finale budget, either.

I enjoyed it, but hey, when you go to McDonald's, you know what you're getting. Fast, professional, tasty, thoroughly enjoyable, but not particularly memorable. Michael Keaton has aged like a fine wine, though, and I'm thoroughly enjoying his late-career renaissance. He could read Google code and imbue with it shades of wit and menace.

Uncle Ben is not even mentioned. This takes place some time after Civil War. It is a Sony movie co-produced by Marvel Studios, kind of a first when the two production companies have joined forces. Yes it had funny quips and yes it is probably going to be forgettable soon. Most superhero movies are (and I like superhero movies). Tobey Maguire was better as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, but Tom Holland is better than Andrew Garfield. Michael Keaton is one of the best villains in the MCU.

This is what the producer said about Uncle Ben. And, man, if this attitude doesn't tell you everything you need to know about why the MCU is getting suckier every day.

“We thought that, to keep this fun, light tone, as soon as they have to have their, like, ‘Let’s remember our dearly departed father figure’ — it derails that a little. And again, what we’re trying to tell is this sort of fun story of the kid who is doing all the wrong things for the right reasons. And once you do that, it stops becoming a fun movie about a kid trying to be a kid. He’s mourning the loss of a parent.”

So, the very essence of why Spider-Man is who he is would "derail" their "fun, light" movie. I'm really starting to despise these people.
