I just cannot believe a director directing a giant, magnificent MASTERPIECE like The Skin I Live In and then directing this utter, dreadful, pathetic piece of crap. Wow. Just wow. From the highest highs to the lowest lows. One of the worst shjts of 2013. Beware!

Almodovar try to return to his first movies but... he is no more a young and freak boy... then the final result is pathetic... :( 5 for me..

The skin I live in a masterpiece? have you seen all of Almodovar's filmography ? well is a matter of taste, I saw Im so excited last night and me and my friend laughed all the way through, I enjoyed so much and as a Pedro's fan in my opinion very much superior to his latest work, since Volver which I think is brilliant no other film of his captured me this much, is definitely not his best work, but it seems they had lots of fun and it was transmitted to the audience, at least in my movie theater.

I think Pedro just wanted to live the life of Harry Caine with this film and feel what it is like to have a film panned.
WOTVOANB was a funny farce, this film wasn't funny, lacked plot, all the characters were unlike-able, it was a car wreck. I'm expecting Pedro to tell us it was just a joke ala Joaquin Phoenix, this is not the Pedro Almodovar we know and love and that's why it's disappointing.
One flop on the heals of a string of excellent films can be forgiven. Let's see what he does next... no comedy please... unless its with Carmen :D
When I saw the trailer I was disappointed too, especially as this followed The Skin I Live In. But ... I really, really enjoyed this. The styling, the lights and colours, the humour, the slight melancholy in the lives of most of the characters, the homage to Airplane! Everything.
