Anyone else put off by non-power rangers morphs?

I kind of like the fact that they can morph into rangers from the past, but they are also morphing into rangers from the future and rangers from Super Sentai that aren't in the American power rangers history. Just watching episode 5 I see the pink Chousinsei Flashman, red dairanger, and the yellow maskman ranger. I like this tribute style to the past as much as the next guy, but isn't it confusing to be using sentai rangers that aren't part of the power rangers history?

reply

It infuriates me as well, because these Sentai-exclusive Rangers have no place in the Power Rangers lore. But as I've often said over the last few years, Saban Brands is lazy and doesn't give the slightest bit of a damn about the product they're making, so editing mishaps like this don't surprise me.

We all have our problems, some just hide it better.

If any of theGoranger shows up, than I know they gave up.

reply

Not really. I never got to see them and it is kind of cool to think of them as power rangers on other planets or such

reply

I don't mind them using the DaiRanger suits, since they half assed introduced it, if I remember correctly (I figured it was their way of using Tommy as the white ranger as often as they could), but there was no real reason for them to use Maskman or Flashman.

When did they use Maskman?? Which episode? I must have blinked or was doing dishes or something....

I don't mind them using the non-US Sentai costumes, I just wish they hadn't been so incredibly lazy in working them in. Of course, lazy writing is the worst part of Megaforce so far. Kinda bland acting is the other worst part, but that's another post.

I hope they use Miss America. That'd be hilarious.

gosei quickly declares they can morph into rangers never before seen on this planet as a 5 second blip to not confuse kids as to why they see rangers that have never been shown in america.

reply

It's lazy editing though. There were many instances where they could have easily taken out the Sentai only rangers, but they didn't.

I don't mind at all.
Think about this: apparently the Samurai powers were passed down for "generations" (at least centuries) and yet we never see hide nor hair of them until 2011, I can easily assume there are other Rangers groups around the world/universe we haven't seen yet (or will never see - it's a big universe, after all!).

This would be fine, except it's extremely unlikely Super Megaforce is ever going to give some explanation, and add a little story to these new powers. It's just 'LOOK KIDS, NEW POWERS YOU'VE NEVER SEEN, BUY OUR TOYS!!!'

Watching your vicious bastard die gave me more pleasure than a thousand lying whores

Who says that the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers were the first as there could have been rangers before them, but not mentioned!

reply

Actually, they're not. The SAMURAI team was the first one:

Seriously?

Just Because Super Megaforce has the Changeman Suits and Flashman Suits and Dairanger Suits and Maskman Suits
Won't mean It's Not as good as the previous seasons

reply

I noticed the Dairanger suits right away, but I was wondering if someone could mention the other episodes that had the quick appearance of the Legendary Powers, meaning the rangers that weren't called by name in the morph?

reply

It is extremely confusing, but Saban just wants to sell toys, and really little kids don't know the difference, it doesn't bother them so much that it takes 2 years for some rangers to finish, however the problem comes because it takes 2 years kids are starting to notice the reruns. I think Saban Brands underestimates it's non toddler audience, but I digress. It is confusing, but Power rangers is a means to sell merchandise, that's all.
