How long did Marisol and Peter know each other?

I know we watch the show during the summer months, but in the Devious Maids universe, how long did Peter and Marisol know each other before he asked her to marry him? It seemed pretty quick to me, especially considering they were broken up during Jesse-gate.

Also, haven't they already ended a season with some form of wedding tragedy?

They had been working on her movie, so I assume they had known each other longer than we've seen on screen.

Yes, Rosie was shot at her wedding in the season two cliffhanger.

Ah yes, that's right. So, how long were they dating before Peter asked her to marry him? Would the time they worked together count as part of their relationship? I know it's tv and people get married really fast for the sake of storylines. I was just curious :)
