I don't know there was just something pretty off about the whole film. The ending was predictable, and the soundtrack was unbearable for me because I didn't think it fit. I don't know, maybe I just have high expectations of dreamworks films.
shareI really don't understand why one would have high expectations for Dreamworks they live firmly in Disney's shadow and always will. This is a actually a pretty decent kids movie I don't understand why anybody would be disappointed with this compared to Dreamworks animation collective catalog.

One of the crappiest CGI movies I've seen, for sure. I tried not letting Jim Parson's annoyingness ruin it, but it was crappy even besides that.
shareI.M.H.O., the worst are PUSS IN BOOTS, TURBO and PENGUINS OF MADAGASCAR. Actually, I think even THE CROODS and the first MADAGASCAR are worse than HOME.
share"Home" is probably one of the weaker comedies from DreamWorks, but for me it doesn't make it bad. I think the first act is a bit weird, but the 2nd and 3rd act are better. I liked the animation, Steve Martin's performance, and some of the creativity put into this film. What I didn't like was how Tip is very boring (and Rihanna sounded at times too grown up), the mother-daughter relationship was not paced that good, there is almost nothing to the plot, and some jokes were too forced. But because the bad stuff isn't awful, maybe that's why I think this movie gets a pass for me.

shareI agree that it could have been better but I don't see the huge stereotype on the girl also overall I think it was a nice movie but you said it was probably written by a 3 year old but the movie is tragically for kids in that range and kids don't care about plots they just care if the movie is fun and makes them laugh which it is and it shows a really nice lesson so I don't know why you are hating on a movie that is not even for you
