"Time is a Western thing it means nothing to them."

What, time isn't world-wide universal, and to Somali especially pirates, its almost non-existent as a concept?

How does Mr Julian even know it and what does he mean by it? Besides, at least some of them really did seem to be in a rush at certain moments so it can't be 100% literal that time just like that means nothing to them? Maybe it isn't as precious to them overall as it is to Westerners or even DANES but still...

Also, why did Peter Lewison (spelling?) freak out and get so surprised in a negative way when "Wait" fax came? He couldn't have guessed himself that maybe Omar is busy or having dinner etc and he was like "For f*ck's sake" etc?

But is what Connor Julian said about "time meaning nothing to them" really true, thanks.
