The story line with Ellie amd her new boyfriend was terrible

I quit playing the game once I got to the "Ellie, baby" scene and just googled the rest of the story. Isssa had gone through so much to win Ellie and had progressed from being an involved bystander to a selfless hero. To have him portrayed as a drunken loser who has his love torn from because he has suddenly reverted to tbe polar opposite of what he was is just extremely poor writing from a character development standpoint. I can't for the life of me understand why the game developers would think that this kind of plot twist would make a good story arc. Although I hated seeing Ellie with her knew beau, I could hardly blame her seeing what tbe wrigers mad3 of Issac. I think I'll pass on Dead Space 4.
