It's 'Gunnar" right, not 'Gunner"...

From memory in those Nordic countries, there is no 'e' in Gunnar...yet in my DVD subtext, it kept saying 'Gunner"..

It's not like Arsenal, the Gunners...or the ball-gunner in a B17..it is Swedish and what have you, and probably has nothing to do with guns..in meaning, it probably has to do with herring-trawling or ski-hunting or liberal attitudes to sex, or something...

Ok, Romero thinks it's a stupid name, but I'm sure he was just in a pissy mood..
actually, if it was spelled with an 'e' same as the occupation noun, ok, THAT would be a stupid name!

reply

LOL...On Bates Motel, the name is "Gunner." And Romero is right - it IS a stupid name - regardless of spelling! :)

tonight, on the news, I just saw a local state politicians with 2nd -name "Gunner"..

he probably should be "Gunna" or 'Gonna"..

reply

It just sounds stupid the way Americans pronounce it.
