Why can't I find this?

I live in the United States, but I can't find it to watch or buy anywhere. I can see it on the UK versions of sites like Amazon and Itunes but I can't purchase it for streaming bc my credit card must be attached to a UK address. And the only DVDs I've seen on Amazon are region 2 and 4, so it won't even play on my Blu Ray player most likely. Not sure how I'm supposed to watch them. There aren't even any torrents. Goodness, you would think if they want their show to be successful or make money, they would make it available to the masses. If I didn't hear about it word of mouth online, I wouldn't even know it existed. Any ideas on where I can find this?

I'm currently watching this on Acorn.tv. It's a streaming service like Netflix, only specializing in British shows and movies - I love it!! It's only $4.99 per month or $49 for a year - can't beat it!!

I'm in the u.s and I love British tv. Soon as acorn became available I had to get it. Just started watching prison wives.. You can get the Acorn subscription through Amazon. It's definitely worth the $4.99 a month if you like British shows...

You can get a European DVD player on Amazon for around $37. Also, Amazon video has Acorn streaming for an additional $4.99/month - this show is streaming on that.

You could google unblocking region codes and it tells you how to make your dvd player multi region, it worked for me and I'm not high tech.
The BBC have a shop online that you can buy dvd's from.

Yeah, I'm familiar with unblocking but it's been a LONG time since I've tried to do something like that. Mebbeh worth a second look. And yeah, but those DVDs aren't for region 1.

It's on Amazon Prime now. Really good show.
