I mean they are completely different! Even if we give credit to that show in the UK which I don't know if they do, but even if... Still THIS is a GREAT SHOW in every sense. while the stories of Jekyll/Hyde and Sherlock are over 100 yrs old, recently broadcast versions still influence whether a new show will be created.
American producers only want to finance Guaranteed hit shows. They don't like risk. That's why they copy foreign shows so much ... they are "proven winners."
I am surprised they made Do No Harm, since the last brit incarnation (no matter how absurdly it was used) failed after only 6 episodes.

What an absurd comment. The British series didn't "fail after only 6 episodes", it was a 6 episode series. That's all there were intended to be.That's all that were needed to tell the story. Many series from the UK have only 5 or 6 episodes unlike so many US shows that get drawn out unnecessarily into 22.
