I stopped watching this movie 3/4's in

Thank God for Wikipedia. I could not continue watching as Benji strangled his co-star without knowing if he actually kills the poor kid. I read the entire synopsis and I am so glad I did not watch this film to its end. It is way too depressing. Although it is well acted I am the kind of movie watcher that wants a redeemable protagonist. This film leaves no one left to align with. So glad I gave up watching when I did.

Agatha was a redeeming protagonist - she was deeply good, but mentally ill. Her family rejected her instead of getting her treatment before the fire, and abandoned her after. She comes back to LA to make amends, and his beaten down (both literally and figuratively) by the horrid people around her until she snaps.

Benji was sympathetic as well, and went along with his sister's delusions at the end. He had already been to rehab - at the age of thirteen. He was an awful little sh*t, but look at his parents. He also began suffering from psychosis around the same age his sister did.

If you'd waited two minutes, they explain the kid lives.

Seize the moment, 'cause tomorrow you might be dead.

It's a movie. Not everyone in life is redeemable. If the movie made you feels something(even if it meant turning it off) then it did its job.
