I am really, really speechless about what we’re seeing on television this morning," King said after CBS This Morning's report of a white woman who called police on a black man in Central Park over the weekend claiming he was threatening her life after he asked her to put her dog on a leash. "It feels to me like open season … and that sometimes it’s not a safe place to be in this country for black men," she added. Earlier in the broadcast, CBS This Morning reported on a black man who died after a Minnesota police officer placed his knee on his neck.
