I watched Alphas once and it was boring and I didn't care about anyone in it. I would've actually watched this if they'd picked this pilot instead. But probably no one else would've I've always picked the wrong shows.
shareThe pilot episode of Alphas didn't draw me in at all. The production values are obviously high, but it was just kind of dull and joyless it took itself too seriously. This one grabbed me right away, the characters in particular are more interesting and endearing than the boring stiffs on Alphas and made the show more engaging. The writing was very sharp, it's a clever, fun pilot. It's a damn shame they didn't pick this one up as a series.
